Katie & Mark
As Mark passed Katie in Track & Field practice, he smoothly said, “how much does a polar bear weigh? Enough to break the ice. I’m Mark.” And they lived happily ever after… or almost. They saw each other here and there after high school and guys, take notes because here comes Mark’s second solid move… he created a CD for Katie to enjoy during her travels to Africa, leaving her thinking about Mark as the music played.
She excitedly joined him for a Kid Cudi concert when she returned and now I can truly say that the rest is history.
Fast forward 10 years to Mark asking for a photo in front of the MKE sign, their home for most of that decade, and with a GoPro set up to capture this once in a lifetime moment, Mark got down on one knee and asked Katie if she’d have his hand in marriage.
Their special day showcased their mutual love for Milwaukee and each other, with the waves of Lake Michigan crashing right outside the architecturally magnificent Discovery Center.
We can’t wait to see what life has in store for them and wish them many more amazing years together!
