Although, a lot of girls are flattered by male attention at the gym, for Jessie, the gym was a place she went to sweat. She always gave 100% in everything she did and the gym was no different. Her beauty along with her hard work and determination didn’t go unnoticed and pretty soon Jonathan was coming over to chat her up during her work outs, to which, Jessie politely responded even though chit chatting was not her thing at the gym… especially to strange men, HAHA! (we had to throw in her own words here as they made us smile :))
After attempting to spark up a good conversation a few times with Jessie, Jonathan finally found a shared love: wine and seized his opportunity, asking Jessie if she’d like to grab a glass sometime with him. After talking for a bit, they realized they had a lot more than just wine in common and Jessie was delighted in the ease to which their conversations flowed, and quickly began to feel that familiarity with Jonathan, like they’d known each other for a long time.
Jonathan’s ruse to head to the jeweler was a puppy park outing with their furry best friend (and might I add, very appropriately named :)) Lambeau. Jonathan knew Jessie was the girl of his dreams from the moment he laid eyes on her and wasted no time popping the question at a local brewery the same day he picked up the ring. Jessie didn’t get three steps inside before Jonathan was down on one knee. While he was giving a sweet speech to Jessie, she couldn’t help but to keep blurting out, “shut up!” “no way!”, until he finally asked her if she would be his forever. With tears running down her face, she managed “absolutely, YES!”.
What advice would you like to share with future brides and grooms?
Take your time planning your wedding. There is no need to rush. We were engaged just under 2 years and it really helped to plan and make that day everything we dreamed of!
A note from Jessie to her husband:
Jonathan, I remember feeling so many emotions as the clock was winding down to walking down that aisle to you. I remember the tears of joy that were building up. I kept telling myself not to cry until you at least saw me for the first time so I didn’t smear my make up. I remember grabbing onto my dad’s arm and every emotion and feeling going through my body. The minute I took a deep breath and looked up and saw you staring at me, I instantly felt comfort. My smile only grew bigger on my face and all those other feelings subsided as I walked down the aisle to you.
Jessie’s vows:
“Jonathan, Each day is better than the last. It is amazing being married to you and knowing you are my forever. As a little girl, I always had dreamt of my wedding! Not only did I have the most handsome man waiting for me at the alter, but having everyone we love the most right there by our sides meant the world. The day was more than perfect! Thank you again for making my childhood dream come true and marrying me at the most beautiful place on earth, Lambeau Field. You make me laugh the hardest, smile the biggest and have truly shown me what true love is. Thank you for being you! Love, your wife. “
